WaterRower Original Series

WaterRower Original Series

Bring the experience of rowing on water into your home with the WaterRower Original Series. Handcrafted in New England, this distinctive rowing machine combines traditional hardwood craftsmanship with an innovative water resistance system. Its smooth movement, elegant wooden frame and practical storage design make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy effective indoor rowing without compromising on style.

Natural Resistance with the WaterFlywheel

At the heart of the WaterRower is its patented WaterFlywheel, which uses water to create a realistic rowing sensation. The resistance responds naturally to how hard you pull, allowing you to control the intensity through your own effort. You can also adjust the water level in the tank to change the overall feel of the rowing stroke. The result is a fluid, consistent motion that makes every session feel more natural.

A Workout That Engages Your Whole Body

Rowing combines cardiovascular exercise with muscular effort in one continuous movement. Your legs, core, back and arms work together throughout each stroke, helping you develop endurance, coordination and overall fitness. Whether you prefer relaxed, longer sessions or shorter, more intense intervals, you can control the challenge simply by adjusting your pace and effort.

Smooth, Low-Impact Exercise

The water resistance system provides a progressive load throughout the rowing movement, without the harsh impact associated with some other forms of exercise. This makes the WaterRower a useful option for regular cardiovascular training when you want a smooth, controlled workout. Maintaining proper technique and posture remains important for comfortable rowing.

Comfortable Seating and Fluid Movement

The seat glides along two wooden rails, creating a stable and natural rowing motion. Eight ball-bearing rollers help the seat move smoothly throughout every stroke. Adjustable footboards and secure straps allow you to position your feet comfortably, helping you maintain a consistent technique during longer training sessions.

S4 Performance Monitor with Bluetooth

Every WaterRower Original Series machine includes the S4 Performance Monitor with Bluetooth connectivity. Follow your workout using key measurements such as time, distance, stroke rate, pace and power output in watts. Heart rate information is also available when paired with a compatible heart rate chest strap.

Bluetooth connectivity supports compatible training applications, including WaterRower Connect, CITYROW, Peloton, EXR, Kinomap and asensei. This gives you more ways to track sessions, explore interactive workouts and keep your training routine interesting. A separate ComModule is not required for the stated Bluetooth functionality.

Handcrafted Hardwood Construction

The WaterRower Original Series combines carefully finished hardwood with practical engineering to create a rowing machine designed for regular use. Several wood options are available, allowing you to choose a finish that suits your home. The resistance mechanism and rowing experience remain consistent across the Original Series, with the selected wood providing the main model distinction.

Compact Upright Storage

Despite its full-length rowing design, the WaterRower can be stored vertically when your workout is finished. In its upright position, it occupies approximately the floor space of a chair, helping you keep your home organised. Integrated transport wheels make it easier to reposition the machine when needed.
